Just because Clinton County is an hour away from Indianapolis doesn’t mean we lack the fine arts and cultures that one associates with the “big cities”.
If you are a music aficionado, you won’t have to look beyond Frankfort’s Middle and Senior High Schools for a music program that will satisfy the most discriminating ears. Their orchestra recently returned from a tour in London England during their Christmas break in 2010. The County schools also have award winning liberal arts programs as well.
Did I mention our theater programs? We have two theaters that are active within the community. Red Barn Summer Theatre and Clinton County Civic Theatere are both state of the art facilities that promise to satiate your hunger of drama, humor, and other theatrical genres.
To learn more about the history of our great county, come to the Clinton County Historical Society. It is located in Old Stoney, 301 E. Clinton St., in Frankfort Indiana. Exhibits are changing constantly and they are ready to meet and educate you.
